Screwdrivers With Replaceable Bits
Insert bits, hex bit or replaceable bit screwdrivers.
The top picture is a screwdriver where the bit is part of the shaft. This is the traditional screwdriver. The top screwdriver is a Wiha insulated screwdriver and is color-coded as an insulated screwdriver with red and yellow. The middle screwdriver is a magnetic, insert bits screwdriver.
There are two principal reasons to buy insert bit screwdrivers. The first reason is convenience. It is a lot easier to carry around a variety of bits than it is a variety of screwdrivers. Especially if you buy one of our screwdrivers that has the bits hidden in the handle. The second reason to buy an insert bit screwdriver is that you can very readily replace the bits. The handle is the most expensive part of screwdriver and, yet, it is the bit that gets the most wear. When a bit gets worn or rounded you simply remove and slip in an inexpensive replacement bit.
