Carbide Saw Blade Specification Manual: Measuring Runout

Specification

Runout shall meet the standards in the table below:

Maximum Saw Diameter         Total Indicator Reading (TIR)

18″                                                                      0.004″

22″                                                                      0.005″

25″                                                                      0.006″

28″                                                                      0.007″

30″                                                                      0.008″

36″                                                                       0.010″

Verification

Mount the saw on a test arbor, and place the foot of the dial indicator about 1/2″ below the gullet line. Be sure runout on the collar surface of the test arbor is close to zero. Note TIR for a full rotation of the saw.
