Carbide Saw Specification Manual P.3 Concentricity or Roundness
Specification
Saw plate concentricity for untipped saws shall be assured by a Total Indicator Reading (TIR) of not more than 0.003″.
CAUTION! Don’t try to achieve this through too much “jointing”. Essential back clearance will be lost.
Verification
Mount saw on test mandrel and position dial indicator at saw tip (see diagram). Rotate saw 360 ° and record TIR. Measurement is relative to true saw center. Watch out for play in the centering mechanism.
