Stump Grinder Teeth
Measuring Stump Grinder Teeth
This is a very common way of measuring stump grinder tips but not the only way.
We have a special grade of carbide for stump grinders that combines both hardness and toughness. If the stump grinder tip is too hard then you get a lot of fracturing and chipping before it wears out. If the stump grinder tips is too tough then it wears out too fast. According to the guys on the Internet, our tips last much longer as well as being cheaper.
We sell the tips pretinned (which is without braze alloy) or pretinned (which has the braze alloy already on it.) We will also sell you the braze alloy and flux. Make sure you use a brazing flux and not a soldering flux.
The tip shown in the pictures is a very common size. It is certainly not the only size we sell.
If you can stay with a standard size it will save you a lot of time and money. However, we are always happy to make custom parts.
