Specification
Concentricity for tipped saws of any diameter shall be assured by a Total Indicator Reading (TIR) of not more than 0.003″.
Verification
Mount saw on a centering mandrel (i.e. a top grinder) and position dial indicator at saw tip (see diagram). Rotate saw 360 ° and record TIR. Measurement is relative to true saw center. Watch out for play in the centering mechanism.
